SUPPORT US AND HELP US SAVE MORE ROTTWEILERS

We are a not for profit rescue charity and all money raised goes towards us helping the dogs in our care.

ADOPT A ROTT

Do you have experience of Rotts, but have not had one for sometime due to family commitments or have you lost a dog in the past, but now think its time for another.  Have you been thinking of getting a Rott, but have no experience of this breed? Please contact us to discuss whether we have anything suitable. Please ring  us on 07368 336092 or email as at rottwelfare@outlook.com

FOSTER A WELFARE ROTT

Perhaps you are unable to adopt but have the time and space to foster a dog short term, if so please contact us on 07368 336092 or email us rottwelfare@outlook.com   Please note that you will be visited by one of our Trustees or a representatives of Welfare to make sure that you are suitable.

MEMBERSHIP and GIFT AID

Become a member of Welfare. The annual fee is £12.50 and this includes a Yearbook and Newsletter, AGM papers and the right to vote and any other important documents.  When completing a membership form, or sending us any voluntary donation, or any sponsorship please complete a Gift Aid form and return this as well.

SHARE AND CARE SCHEME

(Supporting long term residents)

Share the Responsibility! Care for a Rottweiler. This scheme is designed to help dogs who find themselves in Welfare with no prospect of a permanent home in the foreseeable future, because they are elderly or have long term but not fatal illness or are just difficult to rehome   It is our hope that every dog that comes into Welfare will find a safe and permanent home and we don’t stop looking for that home, but by joining this Scheme and donating a fixed amount each month or quarter, funds will always be available for these dogs.  Your contribution provides safe and permanent care throughout their stay with us ‘however long it is’. Scheme supporters will get a report on their ‘chosen’ dog and updates on the Scheme will appear in the Yearbook.  If you cannot regularly donate a fixed amount, you can still help by donating towards our veterinary care, or special treats for the dogs. Everyone who donates will receive a thank you postcard with photograph from the dog that you have helped.  Please contact Carole on 07836 245021 or email us at rotwelfare@outlook.com

RWA PUPPY DONATION SCHEME

We run a scheme whereby breeders voluntary donate the sum of £10 to RWA for every puppy they breed that is sold and/or contribute a voluntary amount after a dog is used at stud. We would very much welcome your inclusion in this scheme and if you feel you are able to help please contact Claire Cox, RWA Puppy Donation Scheme Co-ordinator on 07738 444164 for further details. Please DO NOT donate online for this scheme. We are grateful to those that contribute and all donation will be used to help and maintain Rottweilers which are in the unfortunate situation of being in our care. Any donations made will be acknowledged in the breed notes on a periodic basis.

FACEBOOK

Join our Facebook page, see pictures of the dogs needing homes, stories of those rehomed and lots more.  Visit our Facebook auction site as well and raise money for us by buying and selling.  Contact 07719 606454 for help to put items on the auction site.

VOLUNTEER YOUR TIME OR FUND RAISE FOR US

Help us at one of our events, become a home checker or vet a dog for suitability for rehoming (must be experienced with the breed and a member of Welfare).  Offer to transport a dog for us.  Organise a car boot or table top sale, a coffee morning,  a companion dog show, a sponsored slim, run a marathon in aid of RWA, a long distance walk, sponsored dog walk, parachute jump, bungee jump or anything you can think of.   Do a collecton at your local Pets at Home store.  If you have a PAT dog i organise an event whereby people can stroke your dog for a voluntary donation – a great way to promote the breed, especially if your Rott is the PAT dog.  How about having a ‘Rottweilers in need day’. A bit like Children In Need – it could be done in  the summer or it could be held on a  Bank Holiday.  Again you can organise the event yourself – it doesn’t need to be a huge affair, when run the first time we had a few people who collected pennies in a jar throughout the year and they simply handed it over on the day.   How about a fashion show, a stall at the country fayre or something else. Ring our Jen Darboe, Fundraising Manager on 07719 606454 or email us rottwelfare@outlook.com

CDs AND DVDs, OLD JEWELLERY, MOBILE PHONES

We can also recycle all your CD and DVDs, old jewellery whether good quality or costume jewellery, it can even be broken and mobile phones to raise money for Welfare.  Please contact Jenni Darboe our Fund raising officer on 07719 606454 for more details or send them to her at 1 Ravenswood CLosae, Newcastle,Staffs, ST5 4JX
